Spiritual Direction + Spacious Accompaniment

A Spacious Place to Belong
As You Are Becoming

What we do in spiritual direction is very ordinary — we open to the present moment and the familiar flow of relating — yet each session is an act of embodied hope.

Saying “yes” to who you are today.
Saying “yes” to who you are becoming.

Let's Tune In Together
An office with dark blue walls has a cream colored chair in the corner, wicker sideboard and end tables and plants. The entire far wall is window paned in wood and there are trees and water in the distance and a light blue sky with white clouds.

Do you need a place to rest, wonder, savor, grieve, discern, hope —
a place to be wholly welcomed as you walk your unique path?

PRESENCE + SPACE | WITNESS + WITH-NESS

I have reverence for your journey,
the process of living a reflective life over time, and the value of companionship along the way.

RECOGNIZING WISDOM

“There is a deep and pristinely clear ‘something’ in each one of us, regardless of the outer circumstances of our lives, that has the capacity to recognize Wisdom when we meet it, and it is the nature of Wisdom teaching to call this ‘something’ forth. But until the spark of recognition actually goes off in us, Wisdom remains invisible.”

- Cynthia Bourgeault

Grounding + Becoming
  • In a culture crowded with “spiritual experts” and leaders ready to tell us what to think and who we are, I believe it is vital to have a companion like Kirsten. Someone who has not predetermined our path. Someone who understands that sacred wisdom is within us, and that this wisdom will guide us home — to Divine Love, and ourselves.

Kirsten once told me, “I am not afraid for you," and truly it is a gift to journey with a woman who is not afraid of my pain, my questions, or my evolving spirituality.

  • What I found (and continue to find) with Kirsten is a sacred accompaniment that allows me to find myself — invites me to hear my own voice and trust it — and expands my experience of what communion with Divine Love can look like.

  • I am afraid to take up space. Not because I do not feel that I am deserving of a space to process what it’s like to live as a trans, person of color with chronic illness; I am afraid to take up space because I am told by the current, predominant culture that being alive is asking for “too much”.

Meeting with Kirsten is remembering what it feels like to take a deep breath, a rhythmic breath, a spacious breath. In our sessions I take up space, I stretch out freely, unraveling my past life experiences and knitting them to dreams for my future.

Expansion and breathing deeply can feel scary at times, especially for those trained to be bent, small and constrained. It is in these times of expansion I am held by Kirsten and the space she creates.

Kirsten has created a space of soft landing and she embodies a tender care that is strong enough to witness the expansions and contractions of life.

  • I’m thankful for people who invite me to look for spaciousness instead of constriction, abundance instead of scarcity, and slowness instead of hurry.

My friendship with Kirsten is a lesson for me in listening deeply to the soft nudges of my inner wisdom.

  • Spiritual direction with Kirsten was a life-affirming experience. She provided a safe and holy space for me to walk through deconstruction and reconstruction in an emotionally and mentally healthy way. My sense of the Divine was heightened through her gentle listening and reliance on the Spirit. I cannot recommend spiritual direction or Kirsten highly enough!
